Dresden
We got to Dresden on Sunday! I haven’t been able to take a crazy amount of photos, but let me share what I’ve got so far.
This is going to be a bit of a short edition – I’ll just post what I have, and next week I’ll be back with more.

The Frauenkirche, a baroque monument that was destroyed in WW2 and rebuilt between 1994 and 2005
We were received on Sunday evening by a colleague of Liza’s, who showed us around. Driving had been fairly stressful – we packed and got into our car on Sunday morning, but got into a few traffic jams just outside of Dresden and ended up arriving at around 17:30. Given that we have to unpack all of our stuff, take a walk with Panda and get to sleep early, 17:30 is pretty late.
In any case, the walk was quite nice. I don’t have a lot of pictures of it – or of us – but I ended up getting a few nice ones just outside the Dresden harbor area.
Admittedly, the light was great for these – 1/2
The next day, I brought Liza to a pedicure place and walked back home with Panda. I got to walk through the old town, which is absolutely gorgeous, and take a few photos on the way. A lot of these are the classic Dresden shots you would recognize if you’ve spent any time there (or just looked at pictures of it).
The Zwinger [1, 2] and the facade of a historic building – 1/3
Outside of the historic quarter, there’s a lot of graffiti. I’m a sucker for a good graffiti, and I’ll try to get more in a subsequent post. For now, this will have to do.

nice.
For the last two weeks, Liza, Panda and me were apart due to her spending time with her mother in Bulgaria. Here’s a picture of the two of them now. Panda did not particularly appreciate being in this shot.

There are so many things you can do to irritate this dog.
On that note, our Airbnb has a punching bag, and Panda does not like it when we use it. I suppose the action of punching something is too unharmonious for her. I’ll try getting a picture of that for the next edition :D
We’ll go hiking in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains on the weekend, so hopefully I’ll have some stunning nature shots for you next week.
So yeah, it’s a short entry this time! Things are still very busy. I’m doing a lot of other stuff right now. For example, in addition to e-mail subscription, you can also get notified about any changes to this blog on Telegram. This is done via a custom bot and some code I wrote. Check it out below!
